Make a laser chaser bot for your dogs
I have thought about doing this myself. Pretty simple build to do but looks like the laser is not too random in its movement. Thought you can change the code to be more random. https://www.instructables.com/id/Arduino-Controlled-Laser-Dog-Chaser-Toy/
Cool suction bot
Nice build for a suction based robot. Uses a controller called OpenCR (new one for me). Which looks neat, but…costs 180 dollars… So if you are thinking about this build, a RPi and an arduino combo maybe a better approach. … Continue reading

The poor persons CNC
Or a “ghetto CNC”. Pretty straight forward build with simple materials. Fun to watch (amazed how well it works). I love the nut build he uses for anti backlash nuts. https://www.instructables.com/id/CNC-ROUTER-HOME-MADE/

Circle making jig for a bandsaw
Interesting build. I have seem similar builds for table saws, but those are more for large circles. This is a way to make smaller ones. https://www.instructables.com/id/Build-a-Bandsaw-Circle-Cutting-Jig/

Cheap Thermal Camera with RPi
Rather simple build once the author figured out how to get the RPi to talk to the camera. The camera is a MLX90640 made by Melexis. but you want the one with a controller board GY-MCU90640. Which runs for $80. … Continue reading

Someone has too much time on their hands
This is a self contained spitball gun. Load in water, toilet paper, and launch your spitballs. https://gizmodo.com/that-toilet-paper-spitball-blaster-gets-a-much-needed-r-1832239475
Making a button dispenser
Nice build, the author built a button dispenser with a touch sensor.

Turn an ESP8266 into a WiFi Jammer
Pretty cheap jammer. The “jamming” part isn’t a radio freq. jammer but more protocol stack based. https://www.instructables.com/id/Wi-Fi-Jammer-From-an-ESP8266-WiFi-Jammer-Deauther/
Another mini lathe build
I seem to be on a lathe kick lately. Anyways this is a nice build if you have a decent 3D printer to print the parts. Me…not so sure I want an ABS based fram for a wood turner. https://www.instructables.com/id/Mini-Lathe-Machine-for-Woodworking/

Opensource hearing aid
OK after seeing how much pro hearing aids run (3 grand easy). I can see why there is an opensource project. Article indicates the board will run around $250, not including headset. But still thats 10% of the cost of … Continue reading
