Make some custom speakers with PVC pipe
Not the first time I have seen custom speaker stands with PVC pipe, but first with clear pvc pipe and lights. http://makeprojects.com/Project/Sound-O-Light-Speakers/2464/1

Make a box with your CNC
Nice plugin to Inkscape that the author created to make a box with. It provides the slots and bumps needed to keep the box secure. Now if it only added in the screw holes too 🙂 http://www.keppel.demon.co.uk/111000/111000.html

A cheap homemade brake that doesn’t require welding
Good instructable that takes some angle iron to make a simple brake (thing to bend metal). http://cdn.instructables.com/FEC/RWZA/H4AG047C/FECRWZAH4AG047C.LARGE.jpg

Nice PC repair station
This is a nice build of a setup for a PC repair station. I fix some of my neighbours computers and its always a pain to set up the system and then convert back. http://www.instructables.com/id/Cable-Management-for-PC-Repair-Station/

Making a solder pot
This is a tool I will build someday. I have usually tinned wires by hand, but this would be so much easier (and cheaper). http://www.instructables.com/id/Quick-Easy-DIY-Solder-Pot/
Make your own Distiller
Interesting build on making your own distiller. I don’t think I would try this (just easier to go down to the store) and I would be a little leery of the end results. http://www.instructables.com/id/Making-Your-Distiller/

A TDD Pet
This was just too funny to pass up. The author created a virtual pet for Eclipse that is fed off of TDD development work (Test Driven Development). http://www.happyprog.com/tdgotchi/

No, Xerox PARC didn’t invent the Internet
It did invent many parts to the internet, but not the internet itself. http://www.wired.com/wiredenterprise/2012/07/xerox-internet/

Lexmark poor earnings beats Xerox Stock down too
Looks like the poor earnings for Lexmark may have affected Xerox stock as well since it dropped another 25 cents http://www.foxbusiness.com/technology/2012/07/24/lexmark-profits-outlook-plunge-on-weak-hardware-demand/

Xerox having issues with Contract in FL
Looks like Florida is not happy with Xerox (services end). Basically Xerox was tasked with merging all of Florida’s email services, and its not going well (combo of politics and feature creep from what I can figure out from the … Continue reading
