3D print out your own automatic shade winders

The directions are in…Polish?  But the pictures are pretty good.  I like the build and looks pretty easy to make (just need to find where the motor/gear set came from). https://www.instructables.com/id/3D-Pprinted-Automatic-Window-Blinds/

Build your own mini tank

Out of a wheelchair initially.  Nice build and was alot of work from the looks of it. On The Right Tracks: Electric Wheelchair Guts Find New Life As Tank

Speed control without an arduino

Basically you are using a stepstick (motor controller) like board with some resistors  and caps to make a user controlled motor. http://www.instructables.com/id/Stepper-Motor-Speed-and-Direction-Control-Without-/

Cool robot arm build

The build is pretty neat, the author posted up STL for 3D printing the arm out, even thought it was laser cut.  Looks like you can convert it either way. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2899185

Print out your own tank treads

Cool idea. Me, I think I will just buy them since the amount of time to print out each tread could take my printer for ever. 3D Printed Tank Tracks

Nothing like a full sized RC car

The author basically put a remote controller into a car and drove it around.  The car cost him $300 and total cost is around 2K for the build http://www.instructables.com/id/Full-Size-RC-Car/

Build a screw based RC

I actually have a bought one like this.  Its a nice build to go over snow and stuck (and sand in this case). https://hackaday.com/2018/02/25/screw-drive-tank-is-radio-controlled-3d-printed/

A simple water sentry

This is funny.  The author needed to get rid of some pesty deer eating his roses.  So he built a water blaster sentry (attached to hose for water ammo) to track and guard them.  I am surprised he didn’t used … Continue reading

A hockey puck drone

This is a pretty neat looking drone.  Seems to move pretty slow and fluid.  Its made by Cleo Robotics.  Its still a prototype right now, and no word on cost. https://spectrum.ieee.org/automaton/robotics/drones/cleo-robotics-demonstrates-uniquely-clever-ducted-fan-drone?utm_source=feedburner-robotics&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+IeeeSpectrumRobotics+%28IEEE+Spectrum%3A+Robotics%29

Make a laser fighter pointer

Basically this is a sock-n like game build.  I like the build overall since the 3D prints are pretty simple and could be good for automating a laser pointer https://www.instructables.com/id/Laser-Fighting-Robot/
