Interesting gizmo for monitoring your energy usage

Neat project, looks like setup could be painful as you go around your house and “mark” what breaker is attached to what.  I didn’t find much on how to install it into your circuit panel either. http://www.wired.com/2015/02/tiny-gadget-plugs-house-monitors-power-use/ http://www.neur.io/

Another round of Mindmapping Apps

Interesting article going over mindmap software for mobile.  I have not had much luck using mindmap software on a phone.  Some of the free ones sound interesting (Mindomo, SimpleMind, SchematicMind). http://www.makeuseof.com/tag/8-diagramming-apps-better-brainstorming-go/

Arduino Basketball Shot Counter

This build is based on this one which was a bit more costly.  I like this build cause I could build off of it to have something that keeps stats too.  Oh an arduino is used to keep tabs on … Continue reading

Building a retro arcade with RPi

OK yes I know this has been done before.  But the author did such a nice job on the instructions, I felt it should be highlighted.  Also I never realized HOW MUCH MONEY MAME controllers and such cost.  Even thru … Continue reading

Nice CNC build for bigger stuff

I like this build, and that the author uses OpenRail with V-bar, or T-bar.  Its pretty straight forward build and incorporates some bits of Shapeoko too.  My 2 cents….not sure if I would build this, its running the author around … Continue reading

Halftone CNC

I have seen this in the past, where you use a CNC and a v-carve like bit to make halftone cutouts.  But this time it looks like the author of drillpic did some major overhauls and improved the design alot.  … Continue reading
