Nice video on how to build the thermocoupler amplifier to measure temperature.  Not sure if I would do this (maybe for a 3D printer?). http://hackaday.com/2015/04/06/how-to-build-a-thermocouple-amplifier/

Really nice looking drop down workbench

Really nice looking fold down, wall mounted bench for the garage.  Most of these builds do not look this fancy. http://www.ikeahackers.net/2015/04/rock-gerton-table-top-drop-workbench.html?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+Ikeahacker+%28ikeahacker%29

Build a doorbell listener with an arduino

Actually with a Moteino (arduino like) that has wireless support.  This way it can talk to a bigger system, like an RPi to handle the data.  I also like the authors garage door variant too. http://lowpowerlab.com/blog/2015/04/13/doorbell-moteino/

The bottom of this article doesn’t favor Xerox Tech group

Most of the article is about GE Capital, but the example at the bottom is what caught my eye.  Author talks about how Xerox is being dragged down by its technology division (printers/copiers/etc).  In other words, it should kill it … Continue reading
