Interesting 3D printed Windpower Turbine

Interesting build for small 3D printers to make in parts.  My 2 cents, I am not so sure how well ABS will hold up to outdoors. http://www.instructables.com/id/3D-Printed-Wind-Turbine-uses-Bamboo/

How to build tank treads with bike chains and still use gears to drive them

Nice idea where the author doubled up the chains so that one side could be driven with a gear, and the other side have bolted tracks on it.  The downside, you have to break each ligament in the chain and … Continue reading

Tool to sniff serial traffic

Nice and simple build to look at traffic on a serial bus.  I have seen comercial products that do this, but this is much cheaper solution. http://hackaday.com/2015/05/06/a-tool-for-spying-on-serial-data/

Kickstart a bra for …big ones

Interesting how 3D printing has made new designs available.  This is  an interesting project that is being kickstarted for big girls.  They did most of there prototyping with 3D printers.  Of course at $100 a whack…. http://www.3ders.org/articles/20150507-trusst-lingerie-redefines-bras-through-a-revolutionary-3d-printed-support-system.html

Find my Pi

I got a kick out of this.  The author (adafruit) wrote a script that will find the IP address of your Raspberry Pi so you can SSH into it.  Me….I just do a network scan.  I haven’t trying this myself, … Continue reading

Interesting Dremel based Duplicator

I got a kick out of this project.  The author build a was to duplicate a drawing with a dremel.  Not so sure I would build it as I am not positive how well the slides will work.  But this … Continue reading
