Generating power as your ride your bike

Basically has the same build as a homemade wind generator, with a disk with magnets on them, and coils inside the spinning magnet hubs to charge everything. Its an interesting build, not so sure I would do it (need to … Continue reading

Another porch pirate preventor build

This time from a Canadian, who tried to build a prevention instead of the revenge based ones. I like the logic he put in to determine if a package was dropped off and to arm the system. https://www.tomshardware.com/news/raspberry-pi-package-security-system

POT to PWM controller

Using an ATiny no less, bascially you turn the POT, and a PWM comes out to control the motor speed. Good for DC based motors. It also has a nice small footprint. https://www.instructables.com/Poti-PWM-Control/

Well thats one way to pull out a stump

The author uses a metal bar, a jack, and a fulcrum to pull stumps out. Good example of using a lever to do work! https://www.homemadetools.net/forum/car-jack-stump-puller-video-86540?homelistings#post185753

Interesting dust collector

Bit of a different design than what I have seen in the past. Not sure where the author got the metal buckets. Me….not so sure I would build this one. https://www.homemadetools.net/forum/drum-cyclone-dust-collector-video-86586?homelistings#post185900

Interesting small cut jig for circular saw (or jig saw)

Interesting jig, I am a little leery of using the metal bars for a guide on each end, but it seems to work for the author. https://www.homemadetools.net/forum/simple-precision-guide-cut-jigsaw-circular-saw-86564?homelistings#post185834
