This smart mirror has no glass

The author did a nice write up on the build, but if I read this correctly, he applied the film right onto the monitor screen itself. http://www.instructables.com/id/Smart-Mirror-Raspberry-Pi-3/

Write-up on using an RPi with a K40 Laser Cutter

I have been tempted a few times to get one of these laser cutters, they are typically around $400 and seem to be “OK” for CCC (cheap chinese crap).   But ditching the controller software and going opensource is tempting too. … Continue reading

Cool underwater camera build

Pretty simple build.  Basically hts an RPi used to take pictures for hours underwater.  The author had to custom order the glass on the front, but everything else is pretty cheap stuff. https://hackaday.io/project/21222-pipecam-low-cost-underwater-camera

This beats some other wall mounts for RPi’s

I like this build, the author basically puts an electric box in the wall and has all the electronics in there.  Good idea.  But…  Not to thrilled with the wiring job.  I am pretty sure thats not up to code.  … Continue reading

Interesting CNC with the sun as a laser

Interesting build, the author uses a RPi Zero as the controller.  The actuall CNC bit is controlled by a user and a joystick, but I can see this being more automated too. https://www.instructables.com/id/Solar-Draw/
