How to Control Hundreds of Dumb Robots with One Clever Remote – IEEE Spectrum
Nice article on a gent whom wrote some clever code to control several robots with one controller. Worth watching the videos. http://m.spectrum.ieee.org/automaton/robotics/artificial-intelligence/how-to-control-a-hundred-robots-with-one-remote

Using NFC and cards to control a robot
Interesting approach to control a robot via cards. Could be a good way to teach kids programming. http://www.instructables.com/id/NFC-Card-Controlled-Remote-Car/

Microsoft has its own embedded controller for you to play with
Microsoft has apparently made there own “opensource” controller called the Gadgeteer. I personally never heard of it til I stumbled on it in the article below. I looked at Microsoft’s store and you can’t seem to buy it from there (I … Continue reading

AT commands for the HC-05 for Bluetooth
The author reverse engineered the AT commands (from the looks of it) for the HC-05 bluetooth module so you can take advantage of several components within it. These things go for $5-$8 bucks which is cheap for bluetooth. Good for … Continue reading

RC Android Bluetooth Sumobot [Ultimate DIY!]
Interesting robot build that can be controlled via bluetooth (via an android app). I think the materials used could be cost cut down, if you wanted to do this yourself. http://www.instructables.com/id/Android-Controlled-Bluetooth-Sumobot-Ultimate-DIY-/
Using OpenCV for face recon
Nice write-up on OpenCV (computer vision) for telling a face or not. Could be useful for future robotic work. Me, I haven’t looked at OpenCV yet, been too busy with other things. http://www.instructables.com/id/Face-Tracking-with-Processing-and-OpenCV/

Build a small Battle Bot
If I could only get my kids into this. Nice write-up on a simple battle bot. Of course you need access to a metal CNC to cut out the body, and about $300, maybe more in parts. http://www.instructables.com/id/Unskinny-Bot-3-lb-Horizontal-Spinner-Combat-Bot/
Cool robot can squeeze under your door
The video is funny to watch, basically it reminds me of one of the toy cars that came out 5 years ago with screws for wheels and could angle the wheels to move around better. I like the video of … Continue reading

Possible Kernel Module for SPI on OpenWRT
Why is this important, well SPI, Serial Preferential Interface, is a great way for something like an arduino to talk to a cheap TP-link router to get network connectivity. Since its not a standard thing in OpenWRT, the addition of … Continue reading

Make rubber tires for soda pop wheels
Basically take a bigger cap and put the smaller one inside it, and fill up the in-between parts with liquid rubber. My only thing is where to get the rubber. http://www.instructables.com/id/high-grip-rubber-tires-for-robots/
