Good write-up on Stepper Motors
This has to be one of the better write-ups I have seen on stepper motors. https://learn.adafruit.com/all-about-stepper-motors
Make a Lego Eggbot
HAHAHAH…well if you can build it out of legos… http://www.instructables.com/id/LEGO-EGGBOT/

Nice dog automated feeder
What I liked about this one is the use of an auger to move the food out. Most of the ones I have seen involve some trap door combo thing that looks messy. Oh it uses an arduino as the … Continue reading
Cool 3D print to convert servo to linear motion
Nice build to convert a servo. https://hackaday.io/project/10578-3d-printed-linear-servo-extender

A simple little robot plotter
I typically skip these little guys, but the build was pretty clean so I posted it up. Downside is that steppers can suck down alot of power and drain this robot pretty quick. http://www.instructables.com/id/CNC-Robot-Plotter/

Good short video tutorial on steppers
Well worth watching, only 15 minutes long Get Really Basic With Steppers and Eight Buttons
Swarm of robot boats
All the bots are using RPi’s and talk to eachother to get a job done. Interesting build. Swarm of Robot Boats Coming To An Ocean Near You Soon

A simple $1 motor controller
OK a $1 if you bought stuff in bulk. But either way its a simple build for controlling DC motors. http://www.instructables.com/id/1-Motor-Driver-Circuit-for-Arduino/
Well this is neat, a design for linear movement with a servo
You can print this out and add your own servo. The lift is pretty impressive on the design 3D Printed RC Servo to Linear Actuator Conversion files https://github.com/tscha70/3DPrinterSTLFiles

Nice robot (CNC) for sidwalk painting
Nice build, and the author has a good write-up on how to make your own. Interesting that he didn’t use steppers thought. http://www.open-electronics.org/paint-machine-print-bitmaps-on-pavements-and-sidewalks/?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+OpenElectronics+%28Open+Electronics%29
