How to build your own RC Delta Plane

Author says less than 15 minutes, assumes you have materials and parts spec’ed out ahead of time. I like the website that helps figure out your plane size and motor needs listed in the video. http://www.instructables.com/id/How-to-build-rc-delta-plane-with-your-own-design-i/

Mobbobv2, a robot for you cell

Neat little robot you can control with an attached phone over bluetooth.  It uses an arduino called Bluno Beetle, which I never heard of before.  But its only $15 so not too shabby in cost, and cheaper than the LightBlue … Continue reading

OK this is one heck fo a bubble maker

Nevermind one that can do bubbles from your bike, how about this one that can do 14,000 bubbles a minute, you just need a low-speed motor, 3D printing (lots of filament), a bucket and a bar to hold it together.  … Continue reading

Make a simple loom with straws

So kids want to make a wrist band with yarn.  Here is a good way to get them started on the cheap. http://i.kinja-img.com/gawker-media/image/upload/s–zV0RGNOA–/1395780848893247402.gif

Print out your own cute robot

All the files are on thingiverse if you need them.  Its a pretty simple robot that uses 2 servos, an atiny, and an ultrasound sensor to determine where to go.  Good project for kids. http://letsmakerobots.com/robot/project/attiny-can-robot

The one sheet of plywood boat

A few years back I tried to get my kids to build one of these.  Its about $30 in materials and I got Home Depot to make all the cuts for me.  But…never got the kids interested.  Ended up using … Continue reading

Cool 3D printed Wind Storage design

Nice build where the vertical mill will slowly raise the bar for storing energy, then when you “release” it powers the fan on the right side.  This could be a cool toy to show kids about potential and kinetic energy. … Continue reading

Build a Drawbot with 2 old CDROM drives, and RPi, and a Servo

Oh and 2 stepper motor drivers too.  Nice build for a simple drawing robot.  Would be a good kid project too.  Heck you could step this up a bit and have the whole interface run on the RPi http://makezine.com/2015/07/20/build-drawbot-two-cd-drives-raspberry-pi/ detailed … Continue reading

Simple tutorial on controlling a DC motor with an arduino
