Make you own Arduino Metal Detector

Pretty cool build, using an arduino to filter out the noise.  The only thing I can think of that would be nice is a better set of directions on how to build this. http://dzlsevilgeniuslair.blogspot.dk/2013/07/diy-arduino-based-metal-detector.html

Another BareBones Arduino for $5 in parts

The author writes up directions on how to build a simple barebones arduino that will fit on a breadboard for about $5 in parts.  The board looks pretty nice (he did a good job building it).  Me, I might buy … Continue reading

Make the TP-Link look like a real Arduino Shield

As the author points out, wireless cards for arduino can run you 50-60 dollars.  So he not only adapted the TP-link for the arduino, but converted it to fit on the arduino like an arduino shield.  Me, thats too much … Continue reading

Cool tank like seed spreader

But I would never build it.  It came out of a joint work with PopSci and Instructables. But its really small I think thats a hand spreader its using).  And the parts are ALLOT of money, just the wheels I … Continue reading

Use a TP-Link for a Arduino ethernet shield

Want wireless ethernet access for your arduino or TI MSP?  Use the TP-Link TL-WR703N as written up in the directions in the link below.  These sell for around 20-30 dollars, much cheaper than a wireless shield for arduino (50 ish)   http://www.martinmelchior.be/2013/07/use-tp-link-tl-wr703n-to-send-arduino.html?m=1 … Continue reading

Good PWM tutorial for Arduino

Need to pulse motors or LED’s?  This is a good tutorial on how to do it with an Arduino. http://embedded-lab.com/blog/?p=7155

Arduino lib for TI’s cheap wifi chip

Someone ported the code for TI’s wifi chip to Arduino, which is very cheap for WiFi (around $10).  The eval board for it is $35, which I believe is cheaper than the arduino wifi shield, but not cheaper than some … Continue reading

Have a 3D printer, may an Eggbot

OK I now need to get my 3D printer working again.  Well at least before easter so I can build this.  I have all the parts and this would avoid having to buy a kit.  🙂 http://www.instructables.com/id/3D-Printed-Arduino-Controlled-EggbotSpherepot/

A shield for RPi for using Arduino Shields

Nice looking shield for Raspberry Pi to use arduino shields, seems well documented to.  BUT… at 23 Euros (around 45-50 US dollars), plus S&H, I can just by an arduino and have it talk to the RPi. http://www.open-electronics.org/expansion-shield-for-raspberrypi-compatible-with-arduino/

Waveform Generator with some Pots and an Arduino

Nice build, not so sure I would make it thought, but if you want too, directions can be found in the link below http://www.pyroelectro.com/tutorials/waveform_generator/
