Using an RPi to control a CNC over WiFi
Nice write up on using an RPi to control a CNC with something called GRBLWeb, which is a remote for CNC control of a system. Reality you are using an Raspberry Pi and an arduino in this project. http://www.instructables.com/id/Control-your-CNC-over-Wi-Fi/?ALLSTEPS

Simple Large CNC for Laser Engraving
Another nice CNC build that makes for a large cover area and somewhat portable for engraving. I haven’t ventured into lasers yet, mostly out of safety concerns. But this looks like a nice build and cheap to make. http://www.instructables.com/id/3W-4×4-Arduino-Laser-CutterEngraver/

A cheap ($100) CNC/3D printer
I had to post this one. The author basically takes parts from a printer carriage and other stuff and slaps a 3D printer together. All for around $100. I like the Arduino and RAMPS 1.4 setup. Haven’t tried it myself … Continue reading

Build a lawnbot
I have been wanting to build something like this for years, just haven’t had the time to justify it. SO I will post someone elses build. Parts that concern me on this build is the removal of the deck wheels. … Continue reading
Build your own light up hoodie
Interesting build where adafuit uses a pull method to light up a hoodie light. I would just use a switch myself. https://learn.adafruit.com/textile-potentiometer-hoodie
Using a zipper as a switch
Nice idea, basically use the zipper to trigger a switch to an arduino. https://learn.adafruit.com/zipper-switch
Arduino Basketball Shot Counter
This build is based on this one which was a bit more costly. I like this build cause I could build off of it to have something that keeps stats too. Oh an arduino is used to keep tabs on … Continue reading
AES encryption on an ATiny
The author managed to get AES running on an ATiny for building a secure channel for a doorbell. This is neat and I am impressed that it was done (in assembly no less). http://hackaday.com/2015/02/20/aes-cmac-on-an-attiny85/
Another simple CNC build with an arduino
I have been seeing a new interest in home built CNC’s lately. This one the author built for $200 Euro (230 US). I think he could have gone cheaper (there is a nice simple CNC with arduino clone on EBay … Continue reading

Simple tester for Steppers with an arduino
Nice write-up on how to setup and test a stepper motor relatively quickly. This could come in handy in the future as I have been pulling steppers out of junked printers from the side of the road or dumpers and … Continue reading
