Mobbobv2, a robot for you cell

Neat little robot you can control with an attached phone over bluetooth.  It uses an arduino called Bluno Beetle, which I never heard of before.  But its only $15 so not too shabby in cost, and cheaper than the LightBlue … Continue reading

Using an arduino and android phone to make an autonomous RC car

Cool build, if you have an extra $100 and an android phone to spare, its a nice build for an RC car.  Now if you could combine this with open sentry project, our overlords will be taking over next.  🙂 … Continue reading

Simple DC Motor control with an arduino

I have been looking for some simple DC motor control tutorials with an arduino.  Here is what I found sofar. https://www.openhomeautomation.net/remotely-controlling-a-motor-using-arduino-python-and-php/ http://www.instructables.com/id/Simple-2-way-motor-control-for-the-arduino/

Print out your own cute robot

All the files are on thingiverse if you need them.  Its a pretty simple robot that uses 2 servos, an atiny, and an ultrasound sensor to determine where to go.  Good project for kids. http://letsmakerobots.com/robot/project/attiny-can-robot

Redo on the mearm

MeArm, was a neat cheap robotic arm.  It seems someone redid the design so it better for printing with a 3D printer, and can use steppers instead of servos. http://www.bajdi.com/mearm-forked/

LED Tiki Torches

OK this was another neat build.  The author basically puts LED’s in a mason jar with glass beads and puts it ontop of a tiki torch.  Looks cool.  Oh its an Atiny that is controlling the LED’s. http://makezine.com/2015/08/11/mason-jar-led-tiki-torches-glow-any-color/?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=%24{feed}&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+%24{makezineonline}+%28%24{MAKE}%29&utm_content=%24{GoogleReader}

Use Blynk to controll your device via your phone

I haven’t heard of Blynk before, but it apparently is another way to controll IoT remotely from your phone.  It woks with arduino, RPi, ESP8266, Particle Core (No Idea on that one). and other stuff.  The article of course mentions … Continue reading

Nice write-up on using Interrupts with Arduino

Not many folks, developers included, use or know about the oldfashioned interrupts with a system.  You mostly see this with embedded systems.  Higher end stuff has “messaging” and other methods.  But on systems that do not support threading, interrupts can … Continue reading

Breakout board for the ESP8622

I like this build if you are testing and playing with a bunch of ESP8622 RF boards.  Makes it easier than wiring up a breadboard over and over again. http://www.instructables.com/id/Simple-5V-breakout-board-for-ESP-01-ESP8622/

Jellyfish Skirt

Nice build.  Not so sure I would go with the “poofy” look for a skirt, but I like the build itself.  Could be adapted for other projects. http://www.instructables.com/id/Jellyfish-Skirt/
