Many have heard of nmap before, but do you know nmap has a scripting (plugin) language? This article covers some of those scripts that can be used to get more information from a box. https://isc.sans.edu/diary/Enhancing+pentesting+recon+with+nmap/20331

An ugly, but cheap CNC
The CNC cost the author about $160, I think I could get it down lower with more scraps. I like how he solders the nuts onto the plates for the axis screws. Also I like the sponges used to oil … Continue reading

Nice write-up on making your own wooden ring
This looks like a simple build too. Compared to some others I seen in the past. The only “tricky” part I see is when you have to cut the ring in half with a band saw (I don’t have a … Continue reading
Build a rock-tumbler to diffuse LEDs
This is too funny. The author basically make a rock tumbler out of junk to frost some LEDs. I can’t believe he used sand and water in his mixture (oh and 12 hours of tumbling). Looks like without water worked … Continue reading
Bloomberg analysts rip on Xerox
Own Xerox stock and want to be depressed. Watch this video, basically is says Xerox is not in a good spot. The biggest mess-up, Xerox got into services but with using old models and tech instead of something inventive (think … Continue reading

Hum, Sounds like Rochester may not be a good place to live
Based on this article, Xerox, Kodak, and B&L are shadows of what they once where. And this is a bad thing for Rochester NY. http://www.democratandchronicle.com/story/money/columnist/burke/2015/10/29/burke-tough-times-rochesters-former-big-three/74797158/?from=global&sessionKey=&autologin=

Xerox involved in a war with Apps
This is too funny, apparently an app to “fix” parking tickets called Fix, is being blocked by Xerox that is in the biz automating those tickets. http://www.allgov.com/usa/ca/news/controversies/cities-battle-smartphone-app-that-fixes-tickets-151030?news=857741

Xerox big iron, DocuTech 25 years old
And I hear they still have them running in some print shops too. http://www.businesswire.com/news/home/20151030005178/en/Legacy-Making-Work-Work-Better.-25-Years

Xerox under Investigation over Student Loan Biz
ACS deal just keeps giving to Xerox. Apparently Xerox manages student loans, and as far back as 10 years ago (Xerox bought them 5 years ago). They did some shady stuff with student loans. http://www.buzzfeed.com/mollyhensleyclancy/xerox-under-federal-investigation-over-student-loan-business#.yolzMwkM5

Build a simple breathing circuit
The original goal was to have a light “breath” inside a pumpkin. But I could see other uses. Cheap to make too. http://makezine.com/projects/add-a-simple-circuit-breathing-led-effect-to-your-pumpkin/?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=%24{feed}&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+%24{makezineonline}+%28%24{MAKE}%29&utm_content=%24{GoogleReader}
