Nice write-up on making your own wooden ring

This looks like a simple build too.  Compared to some others I seen in the past.  The only “tricky” part I see is when you have to cut the ring in half with a band saw (I don’t have a band saw for one thing).  And not so sure I could do it nicely by hand.  Odds are I would need to get the wood the right size first.
