Using upside-down trees in programming

I got a kick out of this.  Its like the first thing you learn in programming in college for concepts. http://gizmodo.com/how-computer-scientists-make-programs-efficient-using-u-1448975617?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+gizmodo%2Ffull+%28Gizmodo%29

Quadrotor with Machine Gun

OK I found a new video stream to watch.  FPS Russia.  This guy puts some insane guns together.  This one is a big quadrotor with a machine gun attached. http://hackedgadgets.com/2013/10/19/quadrotor-with-machine-gun/?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+HackedGadgets+%28Hacked+Gadgets%29

Identifying Cell Phones

Interesting, looks like the other stuff from blackhat 8-10 years ago ID’ing PCs is moving to cell phones. https://www.schneier.com/blog/archives/2013/10/identifying_cel.html http://blog.sfgate.com/techchron/2013/10/10/stanford-researchers-discover-alarming-method-for-phone-tracking-fingerprinting-through-sensor-flaws/

Too funny to watch, robot cracks phone code

HCL posts another big profit

So what does this have to do with Xerox?  Well if you remember Xerox sold off over 250 engineers to HCL a few years back.  HCL is down to 150 now.  Thought the article doesn’t say if that 150 is … Continue reading

Looks like Xerox going to pay for the EBT problem

One state is basically already “fining” Xerox for the EBT mess-up.  I wonder how long before the other 16 states follow suite. http://wnmufm.org/post/state-wont-pay-xerox-food-stamp-glitch

Tips and Tricks for the C Pre-processor

Interesting write-up on using Macros for simplifying C  statements.   Been doing that myself for years. http://hackaday.com/2013/10/17/tips-and-tricks-for-the-c-pre-processor/?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+hackaday%2FLgoM+%28Hack+a+Day%29

Blinking Eyes with an ATiny

Nice instructions on making simple LED’s that “blink” using an ATiny and a few other parts.  ATiny chips can be had for a buck, so figure a total of $3 to make this.  Well on the cheap that is. http://makezine.com/projects/spooky-blinking-eyes/
