Nice write-up on upgrading a Chinese 3020 CNC

Good write-up on how to upgrade an $800 CNC from China to be more modern and robust.  My 2 cents, I think I would spend the money on a shapeoko instead. http://www.instructables.com/id/3020-CNC-Arduino-GRBL-CNC-Shield-V3/

Another CD-ROM to Mini CNC build

This is a nice build and cheaper than some of the other ones I have seen.  The author uses a smaller Arduino, and L293D chips to keep costs down.  Of course he ups the costs with other stuff. http://www.instructables.com/id/Mini-CNC-Plotter-Arduino-Based/

Students make a concrete printer

Finally a concrete printer where some tech is actually available to look at.  I have been interested in this stuff for 4 years, but most of it is proprietary and “secret”.  Looks like this still has a ways to go … Continue reading

Mobbobv2, a robot for you cell

Neat little robot you can control with an attached phone over bluetooth.  It uses an arduino called Bluno Beetle, which I never heard of before.  But its only $15 so not too shabby in cost, and cheaper than the LightBlue … Continue reading

This is a neat wheelchair hack

Its amazing to me how personal 3D printers have opened up possiblities to folks to build custom things and idea’s.  This one is like adding a row machine to a wheelchair, which makes sense to be easier than push/pull release … Continue reading

Print out a custom paint roller

This is neat, the author made a custom set of rolers that take the paint off one roller to paint patterns on the wall.  Neat but…how the heck do you refill the roller with paint? http://3dprint.com/91266/3d-printed-paint-rollers/ find the rollers here … Continue reading

OK this is one heck fo a bubble maker

Nevermind one that can do bubbles from your bike, how about this one that can do 14,000 bubbles a minute, you just need a low-speed motor, 3D printing (lots of filament), a bucket and a bar to hold it together.  … Continue reading
