OK this is neat, a threadless ball screw
I had to watch the video a few times, but its bearings on a rod, and the rod spins to move the platform up and down. No threads. You can print out your own too. Threadless Ballscrew for 3D Printer … Continue reading

OK I want to make these rockets
I stumbled on this by accident. You can 3D print the parts to make a giant bottle water rocket. http://www.uswaterrockets.com/research_&_development/3D_Gardena_Nozzle/report.htm

3D print for a drawingbot
A 3D print version of the AxiDraw. Which is a pretty neat CNC, but costs $450 if you buy the kit from evil scientist. This route…Oh and the author lists out all the parts…maybe $150 when done. http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1517211 Oh here … Continue reading

Use cheap cutting boards to make signs
I have actually thought about doing this myself. The cutting boards look nice, and you can pop the board into a CNC to cut out a sign. And the boards can be cheaper than getting plank from Home Depot. http://www.ikeahackers.net/2016/04/diy-door-sign-ikea-chopping-board.html?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+Ikeahacker+%28ikeahacker%29

I have been wanting to build something like this for years. But the concrete mixture and spitting it out is a challenge. This is interesting that the guy that made a castle a few years ago got enough funding to … Continue reading

Make your own remote spray can trigger
OK this is cool, a simple build to print out to trigger a spray can. Only issue I can see is the clip that attaches to it could wear out. http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1496622
