3D print out the parts to make a belt sander
Nice build. I think I could cheap this out a bit more too and use a few things that do no need to be printed out. But overall this is a simple cheap solution for a belt sander. Adjustable too. … Continue reading

3D print your own machine shop
OK maybe not a machine shop. Either way they author starts off with a lathe, and then adds in other mini machinst tools. http://www.robotshop.com/letsmakerobots/making-machines-make Main site: https://plus.google.com/+MarkMillerstuff

Build a ghetto vertical plotter
Too funny, the build works thought. It may look ghetto, but the parts involved are not cheap. https://www.instructables.com/id/SIMPLEST-Arduino-Vertical-Plotter/

Making furniture designs for CNC with Opendesk
I am still not at the level of full CAD yet. But OpenDesk does look interesting http://makezine.com/2017/04/04/opendesk-cnc-furniture/

Simple Stepper Driver
Basically this is a nice write-up on a simple stepper driver with an arduino nano and a EasyDriver board. Easydrivers are a nice stepper motor controller, but….they are a bit pricy http://www.instructables.com/id/Simple-Low-Cost-and-Accurate-Stepper-Motor-Driver/?ALLSTEPS

Another cool (and simple) robot arm build
This one is a blend of 3D printed parts and pipe. It looks pretty straight forward to make, and only base for it maybe out of range for a hobby 3D printer to print out. Oh the thingiverse link is … Continue reading

A simple Pocket Hole Jig
One thing that has annoyed me is how much Kreg Pocket hole jigs cost. Its not much too them but $40 is alot to swallow. There are clones, but I believe they are trying to avoid a patent so they … Continue reading

Convert your CT scan into a 3D print
Pretty nice write-up. Next time I get a CT Scan I’ll have to try this out. http://www.instructables.com/id/How-to-Easily-and-Automatically-Convert-a-CT-Scan-/

CNC a Nail Stamp Plate
Very clever build. The author used a CNC to make small templates to paint nails with. http://www.instructables.com/id/CNC-Milled-Nail-Stamp-Plate/?ALLSTEPS

Interesting alternative for the CDROM CNC build
The author has one axis move the table of the object in x direction, and the top is the y axis. Clever idea. http://www.instructables.com/id/CNC-Made-From-Garbage/?ALLSTEPS
