A homemade Shapeoko
Interesting build, the author says it cost him roughly $700 in materials. You can get the same thing for $1200 and alot less work to put it together…so….its a tough call here. Its a nice build but alot of work. … Continue reading

Nice tutorial on CNC for beginers
Covers the basics. Nice overview. https://www.instructables.com/id/Fusion-360-CAM-Tutorial-for-CNC-Beginners/

Setting up Octoprint on RPi
This is something I have been wanting to do for some time with some of my 3D printers that have custom software interfaces. https://www.instructables.com/id/Octoprint-Easy-Setup/

Interesting CNC with the sun as a laser
Interesting build, the author uses a RPi Zero as the controller. The actuall CNC bit is controlled by a user and a joystick, but I can see this being more automated too. https://www.instructables.com/id/Solar-Draw/

One String on Print Harp
Clever build, basically its a pin out for the string to make a small hand held harp. One String, One Print, One Harp

Clean looking CNC from CDROM parts
And some 3D prints too. Pretty nice looking CNC. Only wish they added in a Z axis too. https://www.instructables.com/id/DIY-Mini-CNC-Plotter-Machine/

Honeycomb shelves with 3D printed clips
Nice build, Only thing I would have add some holes into the sides of the clips to “screw” things down instead of glue. https://www.instructables.com/id/How-to-Make-Honeycomb-Shelves/

A poor person’s laser printer
OK even a weak laser maybe less painful than this one. The author uses the sun and a magnify glass to “burn” wood. A Poor-Man’s Laser CNC Engraver

The ghetto CDROM CNC machine
Basically the author just mounted the stuff to a box and went from there. Note that the arduino is controlling the steps too. Instead of using something like a stepstick. https://www.instructables.com/id/Simple-Easy-Homework-Machine/

Cool 3D printed Lathe, but pricey
Nice looking 3D printed lathe, but…you are looking at 300-400 in material costs (just to have the 3D printed parts done is $160 and up). At that point you can buy a nice used one. https://www.instructables.com/id/3D-Printed-Lathe/
