Interesting build for an automated light switch (bluetooth)
I like the build. But…not so sure I would use Bluetooth, maybe use an ESP and get wifi instead. I like Wemo switches but they are sometimes hard to fit in older light boxes, and this could be cheaper too. … Continue reading

Cool Robot hands you can print out…or for under $10, buy
Nice robot hand designs. Pretty simple and straight forward. but if you don’t want to tie up your 3D printer, you can buy them in a kit from robotshop.com http://www.robotshop.com/letsmakerobots/parallel-mini-gripper-project

This may change things with using Teensy over Arduino UNO’s to drive motors
One of the reasons the mini like arduinos havent picked up a lot on motor control is cause they are great for one motor at a time, but multiples, not so much . The author has written a library to … Continue reading
3D print a simple robot gripper
Nice build with a servo. Small too. http://www.instructables.com/id/3D-Printed-Robot-Gripper-LittleBot-Gripper/

Interesting build to help stroke folks recover
Basically its a robotic physically therapy machine for the hand. I wonder if you could use it for other things, like, muscle memory for playing a song on a piano. Hackaday Prize Entry: Post Stroke Spasticity Rehab Helper
Make a mini battle bot with a bottle
This was a pretty neat start of a battle bot. Basically using a bottle as the shield for the bot. I would be even more impressed if the author used other recycled parts too. http://www.instructables.com/id/Soda-Bottle-Combat-Robot/
OK this is an interesting barmaid robot
Only 2 motors.. One to push up and get the “juice”, another to move the glass around. Open Source Barbot Needs Only Two Motors

Using Syringes for Hydraulics
I have seen stuff like this before. But this is the first for me with a “R/C steam shovel”. The overall build is pretty impressive. Not sure what hte board is used…some form of cardboard? Super Simple Hydraulics Using Syringes
Another automated turret build
This one is a bit interesting since it seems to shoot bursts out instead of single shots. The difference from past ones is no arduino involved (RPi and a hat for motor control), and no laptop to do image processing/etc. … Continue reading

OK this is pretty funny
The author built a simple robot that climbs up a rope, and then cuts the line. Oh and falls down to the ground too. http://www.3ders.org/articles/20170702-diy-3d-printed-ropebot-can-climb-trees-and-cut-down-ropes.html
