Networking for Arduino

Interesting idea, basically to save the # of pins used the gent came up with a serial port meets token ring sort of protocol…or at least that what it sounds like.   http://hackaday.com/2012/12/03/inventing-networking-protocols-for-dozens-of-arduinos/?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+hackaday%2FLgoM+%28Hack+a+Day%29

Simple Arduino MP3 Jukebox

Nice build of a Jukebox using an arduino and some carpentry. http://hackaday.com/2012/11/07/arduino-mp3-jukebox/?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+hackaday%2FLgoM+%28Hack+a+Day%29

Gift for a Tinker

Nice gift ideas for a tinker in electric/electronics.  Ironically I have some of this stuff already.  🙂 http://blog.makezine.com/slideshow/2012-holiday-gift-guide-arduino/view-all/

3D scanner with an arduino, a motor, and some legos

Nice writeup on building a 3D scanner.  Which you will need to scann in and print out 3D objects  🙂 http://www.instructables.com/id/Lets-cook-3D-scanner-based-on-Arduino-and-Proces/

MariaMole, advanced IDE for Arduino

Looks like it takes the standard IDE and allows you to tweak things to optimize more (like compiler settings).  Maybe worth looking at to get a little more performance or space on your arduino. http://dalpix.com/mariamole

Arduino founder calls out startup/kickstarter

Interesting article how a startup may have bent the truth on their kickstarter project, and how one of the founders of Arduino has called them out on it. http://www.wired.com/design/2012/11/smartduino/?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+wired%2Findex+%28Wired%3A+Top+Stories%29&utm_content=Google+Feedfetcher

Arduino WiFI Shield, at $85 dollars

Great idea, have a wifi shield for arduino.  EXCEPT it costs $85 bucks.  For that much I could get an old router and put DD-WRT on it for 20…  But it would not be plug and play. http://www.makershed.com/Arduino_WiFi_Shield_p/mksp18.htm?Click=37845

Adafruits new Arduino

Nice mini arduino board.  Bit more than I would spend (would go to TI instead) http://arduino.cc/en/Main/ArduinoBoardMicro

Arduino to Win7 Hack

Pretty simple setup, basically the AVR chip comes across as a USB keyboard and tells the Win7 box to open up.  Seen many hacks over the years with USB. http://dangerousprototypes.com/2012/10/31/avrv-usb-combo-tool-hacks-win-7/
