Common Arduino Board article

I think the author missed a few other popular boards, but he covers several ones that you find out there for Arduinos. http://www.tested.com/tech/robots/456466-know-your-arduino-guide-most-common-boards/

Web Enabled Cannon controlled with Arduino

This think looks scary.  Its basically a potato cannon with a remote trigger.  I thought a first you could aim it too, but no such luck. http://www.instructables.com/id/WEB-ENABLED-BACKYARD-ARTILLERY/

Stepper motor control with speed

Interesting build.  The author uses an arduino and keypad shield with a stepper motor controller to controll speed, direction, etc of the motor.  My 2 cents, good learning project, but bit expensive for hardware for a stepper controller setup.

Digispark write-up

I actually have some of these from the kickstarter project.  I had a project in mind but just haven’t had time to work on it yet.  This is a nice write-up on how to use it. http://www.instructables.com/id/Digispark-DIY-The-smallest-USB-Arduino/?ALLSTEPS

Make your own Arduino programming shield

The author points out that a bought shield can run 20-30 bucks, where you can build one for around $5 in parts.  Its not as pretty, but does the job. http://www.instructables.com/id/Arduino-ATtiny2313-Programming-Shield/

Make a Flat-diuno

Too funny.  Basically takes the pinouts and puts them at a right angle.  Oh missing a few bits of circuitry to really make this complete.  Good idea if you need something with pinouts on the side instead of top. http://www.instructables.com/id/Build-A-FLAT-duino/

Use an ATiny ($1) to drive RGB LEDs

Must be on an LED kick today.  The author uses a ATiny (arduino like) to drive some RGB LEDs, its a nice write-up and worth reading.  I like using this over other CPUs since as the author points out, ATiny’s … Continue reading

How to use a Nokia 5110 with an arduino

Using the display that is.  They are nice displays and cheap to come by http://www.instructables.com/id/How-to-use-a-Nokia-5110-84X48-LCD-display-with-you/

An RPi adapted for Arduino

If I understand the article right, this is an RPI without the ethernet, HDMI, etc and just has all the headers that would make it fit arduino shields.  Hummm…I think I would stick with arduino’s which are starting to drop … Continue reading

So your grandma left you her old electric wheelchair and you are looking at moving.  Well take the two and build a robot.  The instructable does just this where the author modifies an old electric scooter/chair to move stuff around … Continue reading
