Make a laser fighter pointer
Basically this is a sock-n like game build. I like the build overall since the 3D prints are pretty simple and could be good for automating a laser pointer https://www.instructables.com/id/Laser-Fighting-Robot/
Make a multi colored christmas tree light
Nice build that gives a demo of using an ESP8266 and multi addressable LEDS (WS2812). https://www.instructables.com/id/ESP8266-Arduino-RGB-LED-Christmas-Light-Window-Dec/
Nice POV display
This could be a nice build to do with kids. Basically its an arduino nano on a board with 7 LEDS that is spun by a DC motor (separate power on that). I like the build and it looks pretty … Continue reading

The lazy light switch
So you don’t want to swap out for a WeMo switch. This might be the next best thing. Thought I think I would make a few other mods to it. Light Switch For The Lazy
Cool looking star build for Christmas
Its from over a year ago and is arduino based. Neat build overall but a bit too fast on the “blinking” of the lights for me. http://wpqrek.blogspot.com/2016/12/christmas-star-ornament-made-using.html
Interesting build for an automated light switch (bluetooth)
I like the build. But…not so sure I would use Bluetooth, maybe use an ESP and get wifi instead. I like Wemo switches but they are sometimes hard to fit in older light boxes, and this could be cheaper too. … Continue reading

Make a wave generator
Nice project with an arduino controller. Could be useful for other builds too. Build Your Own Wave Tank

This may change things with using Teensy over Arduino UNO’s to drive motors
One of the reasons the mini like arduinos havent picked up a lot on motor control is cause they are great for one motor at a time, but multiples, not so much . The author has written a library to … Continue reading
Interesting hack to get a cheap laser CNC to work with LaserWeb
Never heard of LaserWeb (I think its Opensource). Anyways the author uses it to control a cheap laser engraver he got from china. Convert that Cheap Laser Engraver to 100% Open-Source Toolchain

Interesting new Arduino style
This one is interesting, much smaller than existing standard UNO boards, pin out is different too. Oh and 32-bit ARM. They add in WiFi or cell too. Not so sure how well received these will be since the don’t look … Continue reading
