Xerox is better than HP…or Dell

Interesting report written up by stock research company.  The end result, they favor Xerox but there are allot of caveats. http://seekingalpha.com/article/1058141-is-xerox-a-value-or-a-value-trap

Is it a motocycle or a car

This is neat, its like a 2 wheel car.  I like how it uses segway like tech to balance itself.  And being electric with a 200 mile range…this would be a nice commuter car (depending on safety features).  But the … Continue reading

Nice design for a business card with a TI 430 on it.  Its $8 a card, but its a good way to get your name out there.  Check out the authors video for more. http://chasingtrons.com/main/2012/3/2/touch-enabled-business-card.html

Drone for watching your kids get on the bus

I seem to be on a bus theme today. Nice write-up of a dad that built a quad coter to follow/monitor his kids as they go to the bus.  He uses an arduino under the hood. http://spectrum.ieee.org/geek-life/hands-on/the-diy-kidtracking-drone

Adding command tools to Android without rooting the box

Basically the author is using busybox under the hood.  A good idea and will avoid “voiding” your lic. agreement  on an android device. http://hackaday.com/2012/12/05/common-linux-tools-on-android-without-root-by-installing-busybox/?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+hackaday%2FLgoM+%28Hack+a+Day%29

Wasn’t I just saying Mexicans should just buy WWII tanks?

I had mentioned in this post  that the Mexicans should just buy old WWII restored armored cars instead of DIY. And look, In Indiana they are having a huge auction of the stuff….sigh.. If you see any gangster style folks … Continue reading

Opensource simple password generator USB device

Nice little design for a password generator/ authentication token for USB.  Not sure how secure it is, and I think the YubiKey would be a better solution for about the same cost (unless you get this one in quantity) http://myweb.cableone.net/benlunt/blog/2012/09/index.html#Password_Generator
