Using a stepper motor as a rotary encoder

Interesting build. Involves alot of components to convert a stepper to be used this way. If you have everything, I can see doing this. Else I would just buy a nicer encoder ($10). https://www.instructables.com/id/Use-a-Stepper-Motor-As-a-Rotary-Encoder/

Nice foot pump conversion to water pump

basically the author removed the air compression chamber, and put a water pump in its place. Me…not so sure I would do this, could take a bit of work to find a water pump that fits. https://www.instructables.com/id/Air-to-Water-Foot-Pump-Conversion/

Interesting powered respirator build

Nice build, the author uses a fan to push the air thru the HEPA filters. Me…I am leery of using a 3D printer for the case, not so sure how air tight it would be. https://www.instructables.com/id/3D-Print-Powered-Respirator-for-Front-Line-Covid-1/

Nice desk from CNC material

This is a pretty nice looking desk. The author CNC’ed out all the parts and slowly put it all together. https://www.instructables.com/id/Plywood-Desk-for-Double-Home-Office/

Nice build to pull concrete used for a fence post out

Nice build, thought a bit more work than I would have done (and I don’t have a welder). I could also see this being used for a stump puller. https://www.homemadetools.net/forum/concrete-fence-post-removal-tool-video-80666?homelistings#post163119

Interesting “shed”

Not so sure I would do this. First I would be worried about tools disappearing on me. Second, I don’t like to leave tools outdoors for too long (winters can be brutal). But this could be a good build for … Continue reading

3D printed holders for drawer organizers

Basically the author made “holders for the ends and corners of arcrylic sheets to act as separators for a drawer. Good idea. https://www.instructables.com/id/3D-Print-Drawer-Organizer/
