So how to configure your C.H.I.P
So you got the $9 C.H.I.P. computer. Now what…it doesn’t have a keyboard, and you didn’t get the hdmi card. Well there is a nice write-up below that can help you out. http://www.instructables.com/id/CHIP-Introduction-for-Nerds/
Fear IoT
This is pretty scarier how simple IoT devices are reaching out to talk to other systems, even when they are disabled to do so. http://krebsonsecurity.com/2016/02/this-is-why-people-fear-the-internet-of-things/

Hey, you can make your own 3D hat decorations
The author does a good job on writting up how to make, add stitch holes, and bending a 3D print to fit on a hat. The bottom hat has LED’s in it too. http://www.instructables.com/id/3D-printed-hat-graphics/

Nice build (cheaper than buying from rockler) . Basically the author buit simple blocks to hold cabinet mat material for “sticky” blocks. http://www.instructables.com/id/Grippy-Work-Holders-/
Simple LED candle (or flashlight) build
Pretty simple build. And a good way to make a simple LED candle that uses 9Volt batteries. Actually this could be a nice build for halloween pumpkins now that I think of it. The LED’s used are 5mm ones from … Continue reading

Nice build. Simple too. http://lifehacker.com/cut-and-shape-styrofoam-efficiently-with-this-diy-styr-1754128419
Building an anemometer
OK at first I thought the author was using the harddrive motor to read the speed of the motor via current. I figured out afterwards he has a sensor inside that detects a rare earth magnet going by instead. Only … Continue reading
