Looks like folks are looking at the creative advertising Xerox did the past 5 years

There is some questions on false advertising of certain services Xerox offered in the early 2010s and how they panned out. http://www.businesswire.com/news/home/20161102006283/en/Xerox-Corporation-Shareholder-Alert-SEC-Attorney-Willie

Hide your own Homebrewed Stingray in a printer

The author uses a RaspberryPi with some antennas and hides the setup within a HP printer to act as a mini cell tower and sniff in on the traffic.  Pretty clever build. http://www.theregister.co.uk/2016/11/02/printer_spy_box/

Make a ultrasonic humidifier

HAHAHAHA.  Too funny.  I was looking at this for a “fog machine” like build.  Nevermind a humidifier.  Oh and the fogger is typically $10 http://www.instructables.com/id/Easy-Homemade-Ultrasonic-Humidifier-for-Less-Than-/

Simple jig for right angle holes

Pretty simple and easy jig to make.  My 2 cents, a coat of paint and nicer handler would be a good selling point.  Oh and a hole on the handle to hang it up. http://www.instructables.com/id/Getting-the-Angle-Right-With-a-Power-Drill/

Make your own pocket hole jig

I actually like this build.  Basically the author took a block of wood, drilled holes down it, pushed pipe down the holes and cut the block at an angle, and put it back together again. http://www.instructables.com/id/Supereasy-Pockethole-Jig/

Rochester takes out a highway for high end apartments

What you can learn from Xerox

Its interesting to see how the author points out that Xerox seems to be very good at making the same mistake over and over again.  It makes me wonder if this is why Google split itself up into different groups … Continue reading

If this becomes a reality (and cost effective). I know what my roof will be replaced with

Tesla is making solar panel shingles…or well plans too.  It sounds like it will be more durable than regular shingles, and provide power, and cost just as much as decent shingles.  If this becomes a reality, I know what my … Continue reading
