Alaska going after Xerox over Medicaid
Sounds like Alaska is not too happy with Xerox over the payment system Xerox put in place. Sounds like its a bit buggy compared to the old system that was in place. http://www.mercedsunstar.com/2014/07/10/3741664/state-wants-mediation-over-xerox.html?sp=/99/215/167/

Interesting take on the Xerox patent auction
Towards the bottom of the article a theory is brought up that the reason Xerox is auctioning off the patents is they either do not have much value left, or Xerox no longer has the expertise to license the patents. … Continue reading

California’s Bridge Troll, Xerox
I found this interesting how Xerox is raking folks over in toll fines for the golden gate bridge. http://www.courthousenews.com/2014/07/08/69320.htm

Xerox is in the Top 3…worst in S&P
Xerox, AIG, and Citigroup are cited as the worst performers in the S&P 500 since it hit 1000. AIG and Citigroup I understand with all the issues with the housing bubble in 2008. http://www.fool.com/investing/general/2014/07/06/the-3-worst-stocks-since-the-sp-first-hit-1000.aspx

Make a Manly Kitchen Island
Concrete, check, heavy 4x4s, check. This looks like a fun build of a concrete table. Down side, its 250 lbs (so I won’t be moving it much). http://www.instructables.com/id/HomeMade-Modern-DIY-Wood-Concrete-Kitchen-Island/

A cheaper and better ThermoElectrics
Apparently this company called Alphabet Energy, has built a cheaper thermo electric system that should be 6 times cheaper than existing stuff and 10% better. Themo electric is converting heat to electricity. This would be cool since you could power … Continue reading
Paypal app can now do loyalty cards
Not that I use the app on my phone, but if you do, they now can use loyalty cards with the app. Down side, only a select group of cards and iOS only for now. http://www.engadget.com/2014/07/15/paypal-app-now-works-with-loyalty-cards-from-supported-merchants/?ncid=rss_truncated

Hey I thought Zagalo retired
Guess being on the Board for Xerox is a good retirement job for an Executive. Zagalo de Lima was named to Xerox’s board a few weeks back. http://www.marketwatch.com/story/ppl-names-xerox-executive-to-its-board-of-directors-2014-07-02

Xerox the patent house
Interesting article from Rochester NY, it seems Xerox still cranks out the patents and innovation. http://www.democratandchronicle.com/story/money/columnist/lahman/2014/07/02/lahman-xerox-becomes-portfolio-prince/12108553/
