Spring loaded Penholder for CNC

I like this build.  I have used markers on CNC before and well crushed the tips.  This would help prevent that. http://www.instructables.com/id/Spring-loaded-CNC-Penholder-for-Rapidograph-techni/

Nice plans for a no screw stool

Free plans to cut out a stool from 3/4 inch plywood and just put the parts together to make a stool (no screws or other hardware needed).  So if you have a CNC that can cut a thick sheet of … Continue reading

Print your own bartender

The author built a 3D printed out robot bartender.  Nice design, looks like he only intended it for a project thought (all the stuff is opensourced).  Since it hasn’t seen an update since created.  My 2 cents.  I think I … Continue reading

Have a 3D Printer, want to make dizzy videos?

Interesting add-on for a frisbee.  The author built an attachment for a frisbee to attach a camera to it. http://3dprintingindustry.com/2014/05/31/3d-printed-frisbee-cam-via-make/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=3d-printed-frisbee-cam-via-make

The Hangurer, nice gizmo you can print out

I typically don’t post about things on thingiverse, but this caught my eye, basically its a slidable hanging kit that you use with a pvc pipe.  Since similar stuff costs alot of cash.  This is worth keeping an eye on … Continue reading

Have a CNC, make a cool knife block

Author pushed up the files to build your own knife block, assuming of course you have access to a CNC to do the cutting.  A quick look at the plans and I think a shapeoko could handle this. http://www.instructables.com/id/Knife-Block/

I want one of these 3D printers

Given there was manual work involved too, I really like the overall idea.  I could print out my own custom shed and workshop.  Reality…I think making the forms from wood and pouring concrete is in my future. http://hackaday.com/2014/09/01/update-3d-printed-concrete-castle-completed/?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+hackaday%2FLgoM+%28Hack+a+Day%29

Bluetooth Stepper Motor controller

The author took a stepper our of a printer, a home built arduino, a bluetooth module, and make a wireless stepper controller from it.  Me…I think basic RF might be a cheaper route to go. http://trandi.wordpress.com/2013/04/17/stepper-motor-bluetooth-serial-driver/

Laser cut Spherebot

If I only had a laser cutter CNC.  Anyways nice write-up (and free plans) for building a spherebot with a laser cutter cutting out the parts.  Most of these I see are 3D printed, or hand built.  Wish I had … Continue reading
