Make (print) you own tape measure marker

Another nice CNC from CDROMS

Another nice detailed build for a CNC with CDROM drives.  The author uses the cases for support too.  Its only a plotter but still a nice build.  Cheap too since the author uses L293D2 chips on a thru hole board. … Continue reading

A cheap pancake robot printer

Nice build from Odin College(?) on a pancake robot.  Looks like these things are popping up everywhere.  I like the feed control (solenoid). Edible art from a Robot Pancake Printer More info here. http://poe.olin.edu/2015/pancake/systems/index.html

3D print your own 1 layer circuit board

Too funny, basically you make a thru-hole perf like board that is custom for your circuit, and fill in the channels in the back with conductive material (solder, conductive ink and or paint, or glue).  It actually looks nice too.  … Continue reading

Make a pancake printer

So you still waiting for your pancakebot?  Make your own instead.  Interesting build where the batter comes out via gravity.  All the ends/mounts you print out on your 3D printer, then build it around a griddle. http://www.instructables.com/id/Pancake-Printer/

Interesting 3D printed trigger assembly for a crossbow

Interesting build.  The trigger is pretty detailed and looks professional like when done.  Rest of the materials are stock PVC pipe and aluminum. http://www.3ders.org/articles/20160108-diy-dudes-put-different-spin-on-3d-printed-weapons-with-full-sized-crossbow.html

Print out your own violin

This is a nice build, and it sounds good (note I am not a string player, so I don’t know for sure).  Downside, needs a decent size 3D printer to make it.  My little homebrew will not cut it. http://hackaday.com/2016/01/02/the-hovalin-open-source-3d-printed-violin-sounds-great/
