Simple RFID cloner withn ATiny

Guy used some stuff from avrfid to build a really small RFID clone for his HID badge.  The original goal was to clone several badges, but still just the one with a chip and wire is impressive. http://www.nycresistor.com/2012/12/27/rfid-multipass http://scanlime.org/2010/06/avrfid-1-1-firmware/

Arduilay, 8 channel relay box with Arduino

This is neat, its directions on how to build an 8 channel A/C relay box with an arduino.  Why would this be useful?  Well if you are setting up a Haloween or Christmas lighting display for one…. http://www.instructables.com/id/Arduilay/%22

Cool Looking Unicycle with an Arduino Controller

OK this is a cool looking self balancing unicycle that uses an arduino under the hood to manage balancing.  Would I build one?  Heck no… http://hackaday.com/2012/12/14/self-balancing-unicycle-using-arduino-and-sparkfun-imu/?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+hackaday%2FLgoM+%28Hack+a+Day%29

Android Garage Door Opener

Interestng writeup…not sure if I would use the expensive hardware to do this thought…(arduino, shield, etc) http://www.instructables.com/id/Android-Garage-Door-Opener-No-Andriod-programing/

Phonejack Thermometers

Nice write-up on making some Thermometers that you can run off of existing phone lines.  Why would you do this, well record what room is in what temp.  Re-use phone lines (who uses POTS anymore anyways?).  Of course the controller … Continue reading

Turn a TP-link router into …

The cheap (around $20) TP-link router (703) is very easy to modify.  It seems alot of folks are using it for all sorts of projects including an internet radio, cheap wireless connector for arduinos, etc etc http://piie.net/index.php?section=tplink-radio http://www.cnx-software.com/2012/07/19/tp-link-wr703n-23-hackable-openwrt-wi-fi-802-11n-router/ http://dangerousprototypes.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=4325&p=42562#p42562

Arduino Shield that lets you remix signals

All I can think of is that’s ALLOT of F***ing DIP SWITCHES…my 2 cents…I would just re-wire. http://dangerousprototypes.com/2012/12/24/universal-re-routing-board-for-arduino-shields/

Overclocking an Arduino

The author overclocks an Amtel from 20 Mhz to 30.  Not bad, would be interesting if there are any long term heat issues or burns them out faster…   http://garagelab.com/profiles/blogs/atmega328-overclock-30mhz Overclocking microcontrollers

A basic (and maybe cheap) Arduino Tank

This looks like a nice simple tank to build.  Cheaper maybe to buy a toy tank.  Even cheaper would be to scale down to using TI’s MSP and some motor drivers off ebay.  🙂 http://paulbleisch.com/blog/2013/01/03/simple-remote-controlled-arduino-tank/

Tinkering with an Arduino and using a WebServer

Interesting article where basically you can tweak the LED’s an arduino has thru a webserver on it, which is proxied thru a PC.  At this point and old PC with a serial connector better, parallel port would work better. http://www.makeuseof.com/tag/how-to-give-arduino-control-over-the-internet-without-an-ethernet-shield/ … Continue reading
