Sending data over Bluetooth Low Energy with a cheap nRF24L01+ module
Interesting write-up on how to use a $4-5 dollar bluetooth module for communication and keeping the power consumption down. http://hackaday.com/2013/09/21/sending-data-over-bluetooth-low-energy-with-a-cheap-nrf24l01-module/?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+hackaday%2FLgoM+%28Hack+a+Day%29 http://dmitry.gr/index.php?r=05.Projects&proj=15&proj=11.%20Bluetooth%20LE%20fakery
Build yourself a scrolling sign

Build your own robot mower
Except I don’t think this one actually has blades to mow the grass yet. Nice looking build thought. Me…maybe an old wheelchair would be a better platform to start with. http://www.instructables.com/id/ArduMower-Do-it-yourself-robotic-mower/
Another interesting costume with an Arduino and LEDs
This is using the Lilypad arduino, which basically is a lower power and smaller form-factor arduino oriented towards being added in clothing. You can get them a lot cheaper on ebay than sparkfun.com thought. http://www.instructables.com/id/How-to-make-a-LilyPad-Arduino-LED-skirt/

Interesting Jellyfish costume with Arduino and LEDs
I am more interested in the tech than the costume. Could be useful to apply to more advanced costume than a see-thru raincoat with LED strips. Thought the author mentions Adafruit stuff would be a easier solution, his method is … Continue reading
Hacked Stamps.com Scale to be stand-a-lone
Hum…I am going to have to look at this more closely to see if I can do this with my radioshack scale. The problem is the scales do not have a built in display, and need to be plugged into … Continue reading

Google Authenticator with an Arduino to open a door
Interesting hack where the author uses Googles authenticator (OTP I believe) to get tokens to provide to the arduino to authenticate with. Which the video was in english. http://hackaday.com/2013/09/14/using-google-authenticator-with-an-arduino/?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+hackaday%2FLgoM+%28Hack+a+Day%29/

Swapping LEDs with motors on a LED strip
I am still trying to figure out why I would do this, or what I would use it for, but its pretty cool. The author basically took an LED stripe and replaced it with mini motors and controllers. http://hackaday.com/2013/09/11/switching-leds-with-motors-on-a-led-strip/?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+hackaday%2FLgoM+%28Hack+a+Day%29
The Arduino Yún
The new arduino is out, it looks pretty impressive with WiFi, wired ethernet, can run Linux, MIPS processor…TILL YOU SEE IT COSTS $69 + SHIPPING!!!!. Like gee with those specs, I can get the beagleboard black cheaper. It will be … Continue reading

Write-up on serial communication with ATiny
Nice intro into doing serial communication with ATTiny. Why? well ATiny’s are cheap, and low power, but they do not have much for I/O, so serial communication is a good alternative. http://www.instructables.com/id/Easy-ATTiny-Serial-Communication-with-Tiny-AVR-Pro/
