Reusable Swiffer wetjet pad

I love the swiffer, its quick, its easy, and it does a good job.  But supplies for it are costly.  The author in this write-up replaces the pad with a sock and cutouts.  Not a bad idea. http://www.instructables.com/id/Cheap-Washable-Wetjet-replacement-pads-without-s/

Make a screw gun rack out of PVC

Interesting idea.  I have seen other tool holders out of PVC, but this is nice that its more compact.  Thought I would give it a coat of paint to spruce it up. http://www.instructables.com/id/Screw-Gun-Rack/

Nice write-up on Omni-wheel development

I put a link to the “translated” page since its all in german.  They author is doing a lot of work with Omni wheels and figuring out the math to use them. http://translate.google.com/translate?js=n&sl=de&tl=en&u=http://www.mtahlers.de http://makezine.com/2013/06/12/omni-wheel-mobile-platform/?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=%2524%257Bfeed%257D&utm_campaign=Feed%253A%20%2524%257Bmakezineonline%257D%20%2528%2524%257BMAKE%257D%2529&utm_content=%2524%257BGoogleReader%257D

Electric kick bike

The author modified a kickbike to be powered by a cordless drill.  I like the build but I don’t think I would “buy” the bike, maybe take an existing bike and modify it? http://www.instructables.com/id/Milwaukee-M28-Powered-KickBike/

Mini Power Converter

Interesting build, basically they author made a circuit with dip switches to reistance (to lower the voltage) to alternate the voltage applied to a device for testing. http://makezine.com/projects/pocket-sized-power-supply/

Xerox CEO gets MCCA lifetime achievement award

This reminds me of kid events where “there are no winners” and everyone gets a trophy. http://www.metrocorpcounsel.com/news/24500/ursula-burns-receive-mcca-lifetime-achievement-award

Its a Fuji Xerox, not Xerox

Remember the wide format printer I mentioned a few weeks back?  Well I was wondering if it was a Xerox system, or someone elses rebranded. Looks like someone figured it out, and its a Fuji Xerox system. Looks like someone … Continue reading
