Build and in(side) car bike cargo carrier
I like this idea, too bad the author didn’t do it for a 4 bike car rack. Not sure what kind of car is used, but I wonder if I could do this with a Scion xB….I have PVC pipe, … Continue reading
Google Dorking, I guess Google Hacking didn’t sound cool enough
OK so I stumbled on this article that has a nice summary of search filters you can do with Google, thought the author talks about it called Google Dorking instead of Google Hacking. Guess the days of Johnny Long … Continue reading

Have a CNC, make a cool knife block
Author pushed up the files to build your own knife block, assuming of course you have access to a CNC to do the cutting. A quick look at the plans and I think a shapeoko could handle this. http://www.instructables.com/id/Knife-Block/

I want one of these 3D printers
Given there was manual work involved too, I really like the overall idea. I could print out my own custom shed and workshop. Reality…I think making the forms from wood and pouring concrete is in my future. http://hackaday.com/2014/09/01/update-3d-printed-concrete-castle-completed/?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+hackaday%2FLgoM+%28Hack+a+Day%29

Are you a Contractor? Tired of using Excel for Billing?
Nice write-up on how to setup jBilling, an opensource project that you can add to a webserver to issue billing and such to customers. Guess if you have alot of customers this maybe worth while, one or two…not so much. … Continue reading
Cool Wooden Chair Mat
I like this build, the author built a chair mat with $50 of material that looks really sharp. What would make this better, if you had floor scraps to use up to build it. http://www.instructables.com/id/Wooden-Chair-Mat/
Looking for a simple central hub to monitor/control internet of things
So you don’t want to build your own controller, say with an RPi, you just want to buy something. Well I have been eye’ing two systems that might do the job. First one is the Mi Casa Verde VeraLite (say … Continue reading
Monitoring android traffic with wireshark
Nice write-up from the Linux Journal on how to monitor the traffic from an android device with wireshark. I have been doing tcpdump via commandline on the phone myself. This looks much nicer. http://www.linuxjournal.com/content/monitoring-android-traffic-wireshark

Its Fuji Xerox that built the robot printer
I got a kick out of this article that is circling the net this week. Its a robotic printer that goes to its customers location in the office and prints out their job. The articles out there keep saying its … Continue reading
