Cool mini 3D printed CNC laser engraver

Nice build, I like the re-use of the CD-ROM motors, but I am not so sure about using lasers. Drill motors I can handle but lasers make me a bit nervous. Either way the STL files for the build are … Continue reading

Interesting router bit tray

Pretty interesting build. I like it cause its an easy and quick build. The slots are a bit smaller than the shaft of the bits, but the intersection is perfect fit. https://www.instructables.com/id/Wicked-Fast-Dremel-Router-Bit-Organizers-Using-Dad/

Interesting CNC build

Author uses 3D printer to make the ends for the frame. Nice build overall. Not sure if I would go with this over MP CNC. Bit pricey of a build with some of the parts he uses. https://www.instructables.com/id/DIY-3D-Printed-Dremel-CNC/

Make your own 3D scanner

Interesting build, it moves the object around and you use your phone’s camera to scan in the images. Uses an ATiny to controll the thing. https://www.openscan.eu/?lang=en

Simple miter box build

For your circular saw. Me, I use the compound miter for a lot of these types of cuts, but, if its for a flat board thats bigger than the miter can handle, this could come in handy. http://www.homemadetools.net/forum/homemade-circular-saw-crosscut-circular-saw-miter-slide-cutting-station-72158?homelistings#post130367

Use a hockey puck to hold pipe to cut on bandsaw

Good idea, the author took a hockey puck and put a v cut in the middle of it to hold the pipe, and then slid that along the table to cut it on a bandsaw. http://www.homemadetools.net/forum/sawing-handheld-round-stock-safely-72144?homelistings#post130321

Nice portable chainsaw mill

Been looking at these builds for some time. Me…I don’t think I could bring myself to get or build one, just the time to make my own boards vs buying them. Just not worth it. But it would be nice. … Continue reading
