Speedy Inchworm robot

Fun to watch this little guy move along.  The goal is to make a device that can go into a person of course. http://spectrum.ieee.org/automaton/robotics/robotics-hardware/speedy-inchworm-robot-only-needs-one-motor?utm_source=feedburner-robotics&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+IeeeSpectrumRobotics+%28IEEE+Spectrum%3A+Robotics%29

Cheap Robot Vac cleaner

Well its more of a floor duster than a vac from the sounds of it.  But at $40, it maybe worth it.  Since I (or someone in my family) is vaccuming every day, this might be a good “spot” vac … Continue reading

Cool robot that moves and turns with 1 motor

Bit of an older article I stumbled on.  Its really a 2 motor robot, one that spins a wheel/weight and the other that tils it to turn.  Fun video to watch and its really fast. http://hackaday.com/2011/07/09/amazing-hemispherical-omnidirectional-gimbaled-wheel-robot/

Build a battle bot that can take care of itself

Small, some  parts  could be swapped out with cheaper solutions, except that arduino stuff 🙂  Either way this build is nice since it could smash the other bots on its own (without user control). http://www.instructables.com/id/My-Mini-Sumobot-500g-Prototype/

Build as little battle bot

This would more be my speed and cost for a battle bot.  Not as exciting, but still would be fun to make and battle with kids.  My 2 cents, the author in his build uses mostly new parts, me, I … Continue reading
