Wardriving cops looking for stolen goods?

Apparently a cop, also a moonlight programmer, wrote a program called L8NT to pull MAC addresses while driving around and compare them to a database to see if they are stolen items nearby.  I was thinking he should take this a step farther, publish the list of stolen MAC addresses, and let the wardriving community do the hunting for them.

I did a bit more digging into this, its a “package” you can buy to do this.  Interesting….
