$5 LED lanterns

This has to be an interesting build.  The author uses PVC pipe (painted) to be a “stand” and then ping-pong balls to diffuse the light from the LED.  Nice build (I figure closer to $10 to build than $5).  Not so sure what I would use this for…hum…maybe a good idea for lights in a playhouse?
