Android soon to get remote wipe

Yeah, it sounds like google is going to add in (and go back to 2.2) the ability to remotely wipe and locate your phone.  It sounds like this will be “free” unlike most android stuff for this that is a munthly cost.  Of course the privacy and security issues make me a little nervous
