Good article to read. The author points out that the US maybe causing its own tech shortage. It points out that the STEM jobs have not seen the pay increase like other professions in the past several years, and how the number of students coming out of STEM studies and go into fin/marketing instead has doubled. Also points out the the foriegn workers become like slaves to the company due to the way the laws are.
The author makes many good points. If there is such a shortage, why aren’t these jobs getting good pay increases? Why are today’s (and past several years) of kids going into the profession that have talent for it? Why are companies not training folks to do the job or looking outside the Valley or triangle in the US for employees?
