Stock Analyst, Maybe Xerox is a good stock

Interesting article from the Motley Fool, it sounds like Xerox has allot of promise as a stock, but….it’s still be a risk. http://www.dailyfinance.com/2014/01/13/is-xerox-destined-for-greatness/

Xerox donation turning into a money pit for E.R.

Xerox donated a rather old building to East Rochester, which in turn was trying to rebuild it for town use. Turns out the building needs allot more work than originally estimated, and the costs to the town just keep going … Continue reading

OKIDOKEYS a another smartlock

Another smart deadbolt lock cameout.  What is different is it looks more like the classic deadbolt AND its cheaper (roughly 180).  Most of the ones I have seen go for over 200. http://www.ubergizmo.com/2014/01/okidokeys-new-smart-locks-and-keys/

Xerox going 2000, makes website for sales

I got a kick out of this, Xerox created basically a “sales portal” website for its channel partners.  This seems so early 2000’s to me (can’t they make an app for this instead?). http://www.4-traders.com/XEROX-CORPORATION-14979/news/Xerox-Corporation–Xeroxs-Free-Web-Based-Sales-Tools-Provide-Competitive-Advantage-to-Channel-Part-17781672/

Xerox best place to work from home

Another surpise from Xerox, apparently someone thinks Xerox has the best telecommuting setup.  Not sure where the data came from thought. http://www.staradvertiser.com/news/breaking/20140109_Top_workfromhome_companies_include_Xerox.html?id=239456751

Xerox and Partner take over Bank back end, 600 laid off

Interesting twist, Xerox is taking over a bank in AK back end work (data processing from the sounds of it), and the bank in turn axed all the employees that do that work currently for them.  I am surpised they … Continue reading

Looks like Xerox may have to pay out

Sounds like the 2nd circuit court agrees that Xerox’s creative accounting practices for pensions may need to be redone and folks paid out some cash.  Hopefully some of them are still alive to get it. http://www.bna.com/deferential-review-second-b17179881193/

100 dollar rubber band gatling gun

So tempting to get one.  Well really 120-150 after shipping.  I wonder how well vetted kickstarter did on this guy doing the project (given its in Russia) and the price is really good. http://gizmodo.com/this-rubber-band-gatling-gun-fires-14-rounds-per-second-1496323580?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+gizmodo%2Ffull+%28Gizmodo%29

3D print your Paintball Pistol to be a Sniper Rifle

This is cool.  The author took a standard $100 paintball pistol and designed, and printed adapters to convert it to a rifle. http://hackaday.com/2014/01/07/paintball-pistol-turned-sniper-rifle/?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+hackaday%2FLgoM+%28Hack+a+Day%29
