Wait there’s Open source CAM software for Laser Cutters?

I have not ventured into laser cutters yet.  Mostly I can deal with drills and hot ends, but lasers….make be a bit nervous.  And the few folks I know that do use them on homebrewed CNC’s typically use LinuxCNC or 3D printing software.  Apparently there is an opensource solution known as LaserWeb.  I haven’t looked at it myself, but the review looks nice in this article (and video).
