Good article about the downside of callcenters

Good article that points out that call centers are not a good “job growth” for a region, since they can (and do) pull up stakes the instance a slightly better deal comes along.  The one thing the article didn’t mention is that many of the call centers in the US get “funding” from the governments (local/state and sometimes fed) to establish the jobs.  Sometimes outright cash, sometimes in tax discounts.  So these callcenters can be funded by your taxdollars, and once the dollars run out.  Bye bye callcenter.

I really am starting to like the news guys in Oregon, I wish other media would point these items out.…
