One fancy looking PVC crossbow
I was pretty impressed with this crossbow build (combo of wood and PVC). Would I build it….err…I think I’ll just buy one at Dicks. http://www.instructables.com/id/PVC-Survival-Crossbow/

Amazon AWS now has a machine learning platform
Interesting how AWS goes in different directions. It seems they are providing a platform for developers to use built in machine learning systems to help drive how applications react. http://techcrunch.com/2015/04/09/aws-wants-to-put-machine-learning-in-reach-of-any-developer/?ncid=rss&utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+Techcrunch+%28TechCrunch%29

Another Steel Etching build
Another interesting build to make an etcher for metal with an old wallwart. My 2 cents, I have a cheap gizmo from Harbor Frieght that does this without the hacking of the wall wart, but still an interesting build. http://www.instructables.com/id/Steel-Etching-and-Marking-from-a-DC-Adapter/

Cool 3D printed alternative energy builds
I really like the stirling engine build. The projects are nice but…not so sure how long they would last (plastic) and being outdoors. But they would be good learning projects. http://www.3ders.org/articles/20150406-harvest-your-own-energy-using-3d-printed-wind-turbines-and-solar-stirling-engines.html http://www.reprap-windturbine.com/index.php?id=18&L=1 Note you have to “buy” the plans to … Continue reading

Ouch, this article makes Xerox Tech services sound like scum of the earth
Guess its a good thing Xerox sold off its tech IT services group to Atos. Cause this article makes it sound like they where pretty scummy group to deal with. http://www.disabledveterans.org/2015/04/01/xerox-sells-veterans-affairs-contractor-to-the-french/

Xerox trains people with games
Interesting research/project from Xerox where they use games to train people for a job in the company. http://www.networksasia.net/article/3-enterprise-gamification-success-stories.1427249164

Nevada can’t seem to shake Xerox
Ithink its been close to a year that Nevada has tried to dump Xerox for its failed management of Obamacare, it looks like it still is depending on Xerox for it while it transitions over to something else. http://www.reviewjournal.com/business/xerox-s-call-center-will-stay-open-longer-expected

Xerox and Medicaid billing being a mess must be a trend
Looks like NH isn’t the only state having issues with Xerox and Medicaid. Thought NH it sounds like is fixed. Texas is still a mess. http://www.tdmr.org/strike-force-report-outlines-hhsc-mishandling-of-xerox-medicaid-ortho-fiasco/
