Your Own Super Computer for 100 dollars
Kickstarter project where tehy are building a simple super computer using a ton of ARM CPU’s on it. For 100 dollars, I would back it. Just think the keys I could break…err math problems I could solve 🙂 http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/adapteva/parallella-a-supercomputer-for-everyone?ref=live
Hooking a doorbell to the internet
Nice write up on adding support for a doorbell to page you on the internet. Would also be a nice addition to a home build security system. http://harizanov.com/2012/08/hooking-my-wireless-doorbell-to-the-internet/
Solar Cooker from a Satellite Dish
Tempted to build one myself, actually more for a stirling engine idea, but cooking will work too. http://sharealikelicence.wordpress.com/category/solar-cooker/

Wearable Raspberry Pi
Gent for around $100 in parts builds a wearable PC with a Raspberry Pi as the core. Nice setup and a heck of alot cheaper than Googles proposed one (I believe at 2 grand). http://blog.makerbar.com/?p=254

Make some Easy Magdeburg Hemispheres
Clever and simple idea to build a Magdeburg Hemisphere, basically you cause a vaccum in the middle with a small flame. This would make a good science project someday http://makeprojects.com/Project/The-Magdeburg-Hemispheres/2473/1

Workshop on a Bicycle
I like the idea, basically a portable workbench and toolbox for a bike. I will never build one of these (too much time to do so…and I would rather drive). But still a nice idea. http://www.instructables.com/id/How-I-carry-a-workshop-on-the-rear-rack-of-my-bicy
