Make a mini tesla coil
Nice build and pretty small too. Most of the parts can be under $10 total. (well caps may not be, and I am assuming you already have wire). https://makezine.com/2017/11/26/twim-holiday-gift-guide-diy-tesla-coil-crossbow/

Found a cool site for homemade tools
Mostly for woodworking tools. It has several nice ideas and builds to try out. I wish they had an RSS feed. http://www.homemadetools.net/

Nice speaker build
I like the build itself, just…bit costly in parts. I have been thinking about taking an Anker based bluetooth portable speaker and adapting it to something like this. http://www.instructables.com/id/Remote-Control-Bluetooth-Light-Switch/
Interesting build for an automated light switch (bluetooth)
I like the build. But…not so sure I would use Bluetooth, maybe use an ESP and get wifi instead. I like Wemo switches but they are sometimes hard to fit in older light boxes, and this could be cheaper too. … Continue reading

Nice looking rain barrel diverter. I like the hose adapter so you can move the barrel farther away. My 2 cents, I would make sure the bottom can be un-screwed for cleanout too. http://www.instructables.com/id/Rain-Barrel-Diverter/
Make your won SPirometer
Have asthma? Want to do your own measurments? Well you can 3D print your own tool to measure (with some other bits). https://makershare.com/projects/3d-printed-spirometer

Need a cheaper cloud based backup? Try Amazon Glacier
I have been looking for a replacement for crashplan that is going away for me. This could be a good alternative. https://lifehacker.com/how-to-use-amazon-glacier-as-a-dirt-cheap-backup-solut-1460814873

Another interest solar power water distiller
I like this build a bit better than others I have seen. This one you can “stand up” easily. Downside…still hard to get end result water out. https://www.instructables.com/id/Solar-Powered-Water-DistellerFilter/
Another nice survival stove
bascially the author put a bunch of rolled up cardboard in a can and covered it all in wax to make a giant candle. Not a bad idea. Not so sure I would use it in my house thought. https://www.instructables.com/id/TIN-CAN-Air-Heaters-SurvivalSHTF-Air-HeaterStove-S/
