PVC tool clips
I like these, but with all the work involved.. I could buy a better one for .99 cents. That and not too fond of melting PVC pipe. (fumes). But if you have some leftover, perhaps it would be worth it. … Continue reading

Blogs from folks that have laptops stolen, and track them
Interesting articles from folks that had there laptops stolen. had tracker software on them and tracked the machines, but not much done by the law. I hate to say it, its a common theme. Most officers are too overwhelmed to … Continue reading

An Arduino clone (Magpie) that has LED’s on the in/out ports
Yeah another arduino..but this one has LED’s on all the I/O lines. This is nice for debugging purposes. BUT…it costs $35. Which is the full price for a real Arduino. So I guess if you are going to buy a … Continue reading

Bicycle Generator
Interesting hack, basically putting a motor on a bike to generate electricity. http://hackaday.com/2013/10/30/bicycle-generator-for-emergency-electricity/?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+hackaday%2FLgoM+%28Hack+a+Day%29
Another simple wind generator using parts from a drill
I like this since it not only finds a use for an old cordless drill. It allows for a simplier way to maintain the system. Thought making the blades could be a bit of a challenge from PVC pipe. http://www.instructables.com/id/Small-Wind-Powered-Generator/

Make a Candy Cannon
Potato Gun + Candy = Candy Gun. This is just too funny, it shoots all the candy up in the air for the kids to get. There are quiet a few different PVC parts for this so its not a … Continue reading
LED Magic Staff
This is a cool build, and sounds pretty powerful, what would be cooler, a lightsabre. http://hackaday.com/2013/10/29/led-magic-staff-just-in-time-for-halloween/?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+hackaday%2FLgoM+%28Hack+a+Day%29

CryptoLocker Malware and how to kill it
I needed this article a few months ago helping out a buddy. My solution (since he didn’t have much of value on it and backups) was to clean the drive and re-install. I think I would still do that but … Continue reading

CAN Hacking
Nice article over at hackaday on CAN and OBD-II and what you can get out of them from your car. If you have a car that has this stuff (1996 and up). http://hackaday.com/2013/10/29/can-hacking-protocols/?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+hackaday%2FLgoM+%28Hack+a+Day%29

Another possible micro windturbine in the works
I have been waiting since 2008 for a simple micro windturbine that could be applied to residential buildings. Sofar it hasn’t happened except some cheap junk you can find on ebay. It sounds like this company Enel in Rome is … Continue reading
