Advanced Search for Kickstarter
Yeah…its been a pain to navigate around kickstarter for projects. Most of the time I use some google hacks to search the site. I also like the reference article (below) which talks about kicktraq, another interesting site to monitor kickstarter … Continue reading

Better check your SD Cards for Security issues
I check the cards myself for standard stuff, viruses etc. But never thought about how easy it is to “fake” the size of the card, or that a microprocessor on it could be compromised…or intentionally compromised from the manufacturer. I … Continue reading
Chameleon smartcard emulator
Interesting hack, the hardware looks pretty nice and compact too. I should note that there are hundreds of different types of “smartcards” out there, and this is just emulating the contactless ones (and a subset at that). Still if … Continue reading
Removing Rust with Citric Acid
Good write-up on removing rust with citric acid, I know some folks have used vinegar as well. http://www.instructables.com/id/Removing-Rust-with-Citric-Acid/?ALLSTEPS

How not to Innovate
Good article about how you can kill your innovation in your company. Point to Xerox and Kodak as prime examples of this. http://forbesindia.com/article/ivey-business-school/six-signs-that-your-innovation-program-is-broken/36609/1

Blue Dog artist passes away
OK so what does this have to do with Xerox? Well back in the late 1990s I believe the “Blue Dog” artwork was used in marketing material for Xerox’s low end printers. Could Xerox be a 3D sleeping giant?
Interesting article that talks about how Xerox could be a big player with 3D printing with its work with 3D Systems….and how no one seems to know this. http://www.fool.com/investing/general/2013/12/23/how-3d-systems-just-announced-xerox-acquisition-ex.aspx#.Ur5Lj47iU1w

Xerox Shafting Retirees
This is an interesting article how Xerox did some …well I would say questionable accounting on retiree pensions for folks that left the company and came back. Guess for the past 13 years these folks have been trying to sue … Continue reading

Xerox Predicted the Internet in Song
Well a jingle actually. Its pretty funny to listen to, and for the techy folks, surprisingly accurate. http://www.wired.com/wiredenterprise/2013/12/xerox_jingle/

Operation Vula – Interesting article in grassroots secure comms
I found this article pretty interesting on how folks in the 1980’s in South Africa where hiding communications to others via the phone (touch tone buttons). https://www.schneier.com/blog/archives/2013/12/operation_vula.html
